Ideal location for short city break as well placed for both Buda/Pest if you are reasonably mobile. Air con was very welcome as temperature was 80+. Friendly reception staff. Breakfast limited but try the scrambled egg/omlette - very tasty indeed!

Top Tip

Apart from the usual places don't miss the opportunity to go up the Dome of St Stephens as the view is excellent and the breeze very welcome. If you are vegetarian you will have to look hard but Google Happy Cow before you go or pick up the Restaurant Guide at the Tourist Information Desk at the Airport. Budapest is beautiful city when viewed from a distance and at night it looks stunning. Close up many of the buildings are graffitied, which is a shame. The Market Hall is just amazing with its variety of vegetables and meat stalls (touristy nick nacks on the upper level). I just hope that if I return in 10 years or so that it doesn't have a Tesco sign hanging over the door. In other words go to Budapest now before it becomes a Prague.
