Carlton Hotel
The hotel is located at the foot of Castle Hill on the Buda side of the city. It is excellently placed for both shopping in the centre of town and sight-seeing, being close to the famous fishermen's bastion, Chain Bridge and old castle district.

Carlton Hotel
The Carlton Hotel is housed in a pleasant modern building with an eye-catching canary yellow façade. Attractively appointed with modern, white furniture and cream tapestries, the medium sized lobby has a number of intimate seating areas and a bar. The other public areas, as well as the conference and meeting rooms, are functional rather than luxurious and display the same light decor. Varying in size and lay out, the 95 guestrooms have white walls, complemented by blue patterned fabrics and furnishings (including a work desk.) The small en suite bathrooms are similarly bright, modern and functional, many with showers only. The cafeteria-style breakfast room offers a full Continental breakfast every day from 07.00 to 10.00. This is a popular, pleasant property, with a quiet location on the Buda side of the city.

Conveniently situated close to the Buda end of Chain Bridge, as it is set in a little cobbled street it is nice a quiet at night but walking distance from many sites
Top Tip
Lovely friendly small bar directly opposite the hotel.
Restaurants every where, Horgasztanya at 27 Fo Utca (about 300metersfrom hotel) is worth a go, freshwater fish specialities and full of local clients. If it is full go next door....can't remember the name but they do lots of specialities. Service in restaurants is good and unhurried

Excellent staff.
Excellent brakfast. Pity their is no milk provided for tea/coffee facilities provided in the room.
Top Tip
Excellent restaurant outside the hotel for dinner.
Use "Ideal" for the city tour, and combine it with a 10pm river cruise, to save money and is the best cruise ship on the river. Free champagne and a drink of any other of your choice
