Hilton Hotel
The hotel is located on the Buda side of the city, on Castle Hill. It benefits from a unique location overlooking the Fisherman's Bastion and opposite St.Mattias church with splendid views of the Danube river and Margaret Island. It is in a quiet location in a semi-pedestrian cobbled street in one of the most famous and beautiful parts of the city. The nearest metro and train station is the Deli-Pu (south).

Hilton Hotel
Without doubt the Hilton is one of the best hotels in Budapest, with a unique location. Though it boasts a modern exterior, a notable and unique feature of the property is the 14th century monastery within its walls, which is visible from some of the rooms as well as from the lobby bar. The spacious lobby itself is elegantly appointed with a wood panelled reception area, a small souvenir shop and a number of comfortable seats. Also spacious, the 326 guestrooms are of an exceptional standard and, as one would expect, equipped with a full range of amenities. All rooms have a small antechamber separated from the main bedroom by a wooden screen. The en suite bathrooms are large and luxuriously finished in marble. There are a number of eating venues at the hotel, including the Art Nouveau gourmet restaurant, the “Dominican”, which serves regional and international cuisine, while offering spectacular views over the Danube. There’s also “Kalocsa” featuring gypsy music, as well as a rooftop cocktail bar and the Faust wine bar in the monastery's former wine cellar.

This Hotel is in the Castle District. Lovely area . But there is a down hill walk approx 1 mile to the Chain Bridge which takes you arcross the river the main area, but there is a number 16 or 16a bus which does stop outside (mini dart)but if your fit the walk back up is o.k. Would stay again at this Hotel lovely views across the river when you have your breakfast in the restaurant.
Top Tip
Watch out for the taxi's they will rip off the tourist. check the price before you get in . There should be a standard one price to the airport. Do not get the Hotel to order a taxi the price is double. Most of Budapest is walkable but it is quite a large city. There is a city tour bus which I would recommend to do, you can hop on and off the main sights so its a good way of seeing everthing and the river trip is o.k

An excellent setting for a relaxing break but with easy access to the Budapest public transport network. The views over the Danubr from the back of the hotel are stunning.
Top Tip
Watch some of the local etterems (restaurants), they have an annoying habit of showing prices excluding VAT & taxes and these are then added to the bill. Invest in the Budapest card for unlimited prepaid travel on local public transport and entry into a vast array of museums, art galleries and places of interest.
