Kempinski Corvinus Hotel
Overlooking a small park, the hotel is located directly beside the shopping area and is only 5 minutes from the Danube on the Pest side of Budapest.

Kempinski Corvinus Hotel
Budapest’s first 5-star hotel, opened in 1992, the Kempinski Corvinus is housed in a very large, strikingly modern building with a curving glass façade. The galleried marble lobby is not overly opulent, but is spacious with plenty of leather-upholstered seating. Temporary art exhibitions line the walls, and the hotel has an impressive art and antiques collection. The 369 soundproof guestrooms are freshly decorated in various hues of yellow and blue and contain maple wood furniture. They are well equipped and kept in immaculate condition, as are the spacious bathrooms with floor heating, bathrobes and a generous selection of toiletries. The hotel’s “Bistro Jardin,” on the ground floor, serves à la carte Hungarian specialities including signature goose liver dishes, complemented by more than 100 local wines (among them 40 Tokaji wines dating as far back as 1957.) There’s also “Ristorante Giardino”, serving Italian cuisine, and “Kempi Brauhaus”, the only authentic Bavarian restaurant in Budapest. In summer guests can dine on a small terrace, which backs on to a pedestrianised shopping street. The hotel’s impressive spa was renovated in early 2005, and transports guests to Asia with its authentic Tjai masseuses and Asian-accented rooms.
