River cruise is a must. Get off at Margaret Island if you can and have a guided tour.

Excellent hotel and very friendly staff. We booked smoking rooms but on arrival were given non smoking rooms. As soon as we mentioned this we were moved to smoking rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast.

Asked at the hotel to recommend restraurant the first night and was guided to a traditional Hungarian restraurant. Very good cannot remember the name but the staff there were very good and recommend the true Hungarian food to sample. We found the Hop On Hop Off bus very good for taking you around Budapest put don't expect to find it easily. It is on Andrasy Ut. number 2. The House of Terror is a must and the Citadell. also we booked a Hungarian evening with tradional music and gypsy dancing plus meal very good.

requested kettle in room this was rejected...as four star hotel - did not think this was a big ask! Advised that this was available in superior rooms only. Apart from that a lovely hotel...staff really helpful...great breakfasts, good location and v clean.

Didn't find a restaurant that I loved. Gerbeauds is great for cakes and tea! all the key sights . royal palace, st stephens basilica, parliament, thermal spas etc...shame Mattyas church under scaffolding could give the castles caves a miss...a little gimmicky. Loved the city, great architecture and interesting history.
